Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Aegis Loop uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and dashboard.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help websites remember your preferences and keep you signed in.
Cookies we use
- Session cookie (
aegis_github) — Essential. Keeps you signed in to the dashboard after GitHub OAuth or PAT authentication. HTTP-only, signed, expires after 7 days. - Theme preference (
aegis-theme) — Functional. Stores light or dark mode in localStorage on your device (not sent to our servers). - Cookie consent (
aegis-cookie-consent) — Essential. Records whether you accepted optional cookies. Stored in localStorage.
Essential vs optional
Essential cookies are required for authentication and core functionality. They cannot be disabled while using the signed-in dashboard.
Optional cookies (such as analytics, if enabled in the future) are only set if you click “Accept all” on our cookie banner. Choosing “Essential only” limits storage to authentication and preference cookies.
Managing cookies
You can clear cookies through your browser settings. Signing out of Aegis Loop removes your session cookie. Clearing site data will reset theme and consent preferences.
Third-party cookies
GitHub OAuth may set cookies when you authenticate on github.com. We do not control third-party cookie policies.
Updates
We may update this Policy when our cookie practices change. Check the date above for the latest version.
